APL Ship Quest

The APL training video game was a linear based questing game that had the player go to all parts of the ship. The game had requirements that they would be able to play it on low level pcs and mobile devices. The project had many limitations to the models, textures, and amount of time spent on each model.

 



Model specifications:

Most models should be no more than 1000 tris.

Larger models would range from 1000 tris to the larger of 50,000 tris.

Texture dimensions were 512 for most models.

Few larger models had 1k or 2k textures.

Entire normal map created in photoshop, no highpoly bakes.

Models look identical to the real world object.
